Sydney, Australia- August 2014:
Building on the success of the BenQ Smart Interactive Classroom Concept, BenQ Australia has announced the arrival of its newest education projector– the MW853UST – which when coupled with the BenQ PointWrite Module – PWOIU - is a comprehensive interactive projection system offering an advanced learning experience.
Designed to bring
Colorific™ image quality, easy installation, and PointWrite™ interaction to today’s students, teachers, and learning institutions, the MW853UST delivers more than one billion bright colors, provides impressive cost savings, and enables more collaborative classroom experiences while reducing total cost of ownership (TCO).
“Schools continue to seek comprehensive teaching solutions that bolster learning without increasing classroom costs or complexity,” said Martin Moelle, Managing Director at BenQ Australia. “With the release of our new MW853UST interactive projector, we’re empowering teachers with simple yet powerful and collaborative tools to inspire students without breaking the bank.”
“Featuring BenQ’s Colorific image quality, the
MW853UST delivers accurate, crisp, and long-lasting quality via one billion plus lifelike colors to classroom projection screens. For schools, the technology eliminates both light burn and colourdegradation over extended usage, reducing the devices’ TCO. To further optimize the viewing experience, this WXGA device shines at a 10,000:1 contrast ratio and 3,200 lumens of brightness to ensure reliable projections in any indoor light setting, eliminating the need to dim the lights,” said Moelle.
To bring lesson plans to life, the MW853UST is compatible with BenQ’s PointWrite technology — allowing up to four participants to simultaneously collaborate on screens as large as 190 inches. Featuring auto calibration, the tool allows teachers and students to jointly interact via enabled pens or finger touch technology on any type of projection surface for effortless collaboration.
“Equipped with 3D, PC, and Blu-ray™ readiness in addition to double 10-W speakers, the projector is a complete content solution for creating engaging lesson plans turning the classroom into an inclusive, enhanced, and inspiring environment,” continued Moelle.
With wall-mount plates integrated directly onto the projector, installation of the MW853UST is as easy as sliding the device into place. Setups are made even easier thanks to its ultra -short throw ratio of 0.35, which enables simple placement within any environment.
For IT staff, facility-wide maintenance and management are simplified with LAN control, which enables remote monitoring, scheduling, and maintenance from any location over a network. Compatible with Crestron RoomView
®, this projector offers a filter-free optical system further reducing maintenance costs.
For even greater TCO reduction the MW853UST is equipped with BenQ’s SmartEco™ technology, which reduces power consumption by 70 percent via automatic lamp power adjustment based on precise brightness requirements. Enabling up to an amazing 7,000 hours of lamp life, the energy-saving projectors dramatically cut lamp replacement costs and lower consumption via Auto Power Off while a convenient Eco Blank mode allows teachers to blank out the projection screen whenever the projector is not in use.
BenQ’s MW853UST ultra-short throw projector is now available in Australia.
PointWrite Compatibility for Varied Multi-Touch and Dual-Screen enabled Learning:
The MW853UST is designed to support BenQ’s latest PointWrite touch innovations, which turns any surface into an interactive, touch-based learning platform by utilising and innovative infrared technology that supports a speedy 0.016fps writing response from a PointWrite Pen or an optional PointWrite touch module that enables the camera to detect up to four fingers or objects. The multi-touch capabilities further support Windows 8 touch interface for group annotation tasks. Extending the interactivity is the world-leading dual-screen touch technology, which delivers a stunning immersive learning experience. By connecting two projectors together to project two seamlessly merged screens, a super-size screen is created for a wide array of learning possibilities. This feature also enables cross-screen multitasking, allowing teachers to draw notes while playing videos.
“Easy to set up and flexible to use, requiring only one second for auto calibration, the projector makes a cost-efficient and affordable investment for educators seeking to bring more excitement and creativity into their class,” said Moelle.
