Australia, December 17, 2013 – Singapore has just staged global eSports event, the Intel Extreme Masters (IEM) Season 8, with partner BenQ once again providing an exceptional gaming experience to the world’s elite professional gamers, ending 2013 on a high note for the brand.
The Electronics Sports League (ESL) is responsible for running the IEM gaming tour, with Singapore hosting the event for a second time in succession this year due to the overwhelming response organisers received from the region in last year’s tour.
Singapore is as close as IEM comes to Australia, but it doesn’t stop Aussie gamers from making the trip.
Said Josh Edwards, from BenQ Australia, “Gamers are ecstatic the IEM has been staged in Singapore for the second year running, and because the event, (held from 28 November - 1 December) was highly successful again this year it will signal the continuation of this trend.
