A parabolic reflector is first used to bring together the scattered light. With a reflection rate of 97%, it greatly improves the light efficiency. The multi-zonal lens then provides uniform illumination in the center of the sheet music while lighting up the keys at both sides.

Optimal Illumination that Surpasses Concert-Hall Lighting Standards

BenQ PianoLight guarantees illumination that surpasses concert-hall lighting standards, with over 500 lux* for sheet music and an impressive illuminance ratio of 1.5*. All 88 piano keys are also guaranteed to receive more than 300 lux* of light.

*According to the Illuminating Engineering Society's standards, the target illuminance for a horizontal task surface (keyboard) should be at least 300 lux, while a vertical surface (sheet music) should be at least 500 lux. The uniformity ratio for both surfaces should be at least 2:1, with a lower ratio indicating better performance.
