Automatic Lights On as You Sit

With its ultrasonic sensor positioned 50 cm (19.7”) above the desktop, it detects at a distance of 60 ± 10 cm (23.6 ± 3.9”) in front of the screen. Its detection shape is conical, which helps prevent unnecessary activation of the light, such as when the user walks past the desk. Since the sensor uses motion detection to decide whether to keep the light on or turn it off, if users remain still (e.g., watching a video) or make subtle movements (e.g., typing without body movements), the light may detect no motion and turn off after 5 minutes.
