Yakuza: Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth is an RPG from Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio and Sega that is a continuation of the popular Yakuza series. It follows the stories of Ichiban Kasuga and Kazuma Kiryu as they join forces to explore Hawaii, make new allies, and face echoes of their pasts. The game covers all platforms for everyone to play, available on the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC, which are all compatible with BenQ gaming projectors. With experience-enhancing technology, CinematicSound and CinematicColor, the X3100i gaming projector offers a fully immersive experience for every type of game. Travel from Japan to Hawaii with Kasuga and Kiryu from the comfort of your gaming space today. Welcome to the BenQ Game Zone Series!

Two Heroic Dragons

Ichiban Kasuga, the protagonist of Yakuza: Like a Dragon and known as the “Rock Bottom Dragon,” has joined forces with Kazuma Kiryu, the original protagonist of the series known as the “Dragon of Dojima,” to fight their most personal battles yet. From the familiar streets of Tokyo to the sunny city of Honolulu, these two heroic dragons have put their fate in your hands. As an unlikely duo, their unique skills provide multiple benefits in battles, making it easy to strategize and defeat enemies as they appear. During fights, you can switch between characters to select from Skills, Guard, Attack, or Etc., and choose which enemy to attack, with their health bars clearly visible in the top right corner and above their heads. In the images below, you can see how the X3100i enhances the colors of each option, the blue circle of the area you can reach, and the detail of character movements thanks to BenQ CinematicColor technology and 4K visuals.

Skills and abilities can be developed by taking on various “jobs” throughout the game. These serve as classes that grant the character distinctive perks and fighting styles, which can be beneficial during fights such as these. The Poundmates system also returns, allowing players to summon supporting party members to assist during battles or enhance their skills. While the game maintains turn-based battle systems, new mechanisms offer some real-time combat where you can use the environment to your advantage through movement and nearby items. Dynamic movement offers the ability to close the distance with enemies and deal massive damage with combo attacks!

Going through the various menus, options, and assessing a fight scene requires the support of a larger screen only available with a gaming projector. Unlike monitors or TVs, a gaming projector offers a range of screen sizes to fit every space and provides full game immersion for every experience. Take this chance to explore the streets of Hawaii firsthand alongside Kiryu and Kusuga with the enhanced visuals and audio of the X3100i.

Epic Emotional Drama

Following Kusuga’s wild journey in the previous Yakuza game, he is now in search of his biological mother in Honolulu, seeking to protect her from quickly revealed enemies. Kiryu, one of the people sent after her, has joined with Kusuga to protect her from the Yamai Syndicate and Dwight Mendez. As the story unravels, the emotional depth and drive of the characters are revealed through multiple cinematic cutscenes, something the Yakuza games are known for. With each cutscene projected on the large screen of a BenQ gaming projector, you’ll see the depth of their emotions through their facial expressions and watch as their movements reflect their fears and anxieties.

They’re also extremely different in their actions and engagements with others. Kusuga is far more social but quick to anger while Kiryu is reserved and calculating. Their movements, actions, and conversational tones reflect these differences. In the images below, you can see the differences in their facial expressions and body language thanks to the crisp details of the X3100i. In the image to the left, a selfie, Kiryu is maintaining a stern face with a strong pose, while Kusuga is trying to be more relaxed and get the shot right. In the image to the right, Kiryu is ready to escape and plan a fight for another day, while Kusuga is using his social skills to talk down the gunman and shift the situation in their favor.

With so many new and old characters to interact with, the best way to experience the game is in a fully immersive environment supported by a gaming projector. See the differences between Kiryu from the first game to now and continue Kusuga’s story and personal growth.

Infinite Adventure

Similar to the first game, there is an abundance of side activities and quests to partake in. Some returning minigames include karaoke, darts, golf, batting cages, Mahjong, and arcades for familiar fun! There are also new activities such as a dating sim, cozy island builder, and crazy delivery, allowing for endless fun and adventure. Regardless of how you play, unforgettable moments await at the beachfront of Honolulu with Kusuga and Kiryu. Take on the main story or enjoy some side quests with the high-quality audio and visuals from a X3100i gaming projector.

Yakuza: Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth was positively received by fans as it ventured outside of Japan with well-loved characters.
