BenQ Professional Monitors Inspire Endless Creativity and Design Confidence at Adobe® MAX 2017
High-Performance Monitors Streamline Workflow for Creative Pros
COSTA MESA, Calif. — Oct. 11, 2017 — BenQ America Corp., an internationally renowned provider of visual display solutions, today announced it will showcase its latest Designer Series monitors at Adobe® MAX, Oct. 18-20 at the Venetian and Palazzo hotels in Las Vegas. The lineup will be on display for photographers, video post-production pros, graphic designers, CAD/CAM specialists and other creative professionals at BenQ’s booth 527.
“There’s a lot of time, energy and skill that goes into bringing flawless design work to life. No part of the workflow can be compromised,” said Steve Yang, senior director at BenQ America Corp. “At Adobe MAX, attendees will see our robust display offering that caters to design professionals. Each monitor is engineered to deliver perfection in image visualization at every step and ease the challenges that come with getting the details exactly right.”
BenQ will display the PD2500Q 25” 2K QHD (2560x1440) LED IPS panel, the first monitor in the PD designer monitor series to be individually calibrated by factory engineers. The custom calibration ensures 100% sRGB and Rec. 709 color gamut accuracy and meets Technicolor® Color Certification and strict Delta-E and Gamma tolerances. It offers an abundance of smart tools specifically developed for designers, including CAD/CAM Mode, Animation Mode and Darkroom Mode, each addressing specific creative requirements. The ultra-slim bezel and DP out (Multi-Stream Transport, MST) are ideal for dual-monitor setups and its 90-degree pivoting, height-adjustable stand enhances display productivity and versatility. The monitor features a comprehensive array of connectivity options to address the growing range of source devices and setups, including DisplayPort, mini DisplayPort, HDMI, USB 3.1 Gen1, headphone and audio ports.
At the show, BenQ will display the PD2710QC, the world’s first color-critical design monitor to include a USB-C™ Docking Station for MacBook and PC users. It allows designers to charge devices, transfer data, transmit audio and video and connect to the internet, all through the convenience of a single cable. Simultaneously delivering up to 61 watts of power to a laptop or mobile device, the 27” (2560x1440) IPS LED display's single 5 Gbps super speed USB-C connection powers its integrated hub and features multiple audio, video, network and USB ports, in addition to uncompressed crystal-clear 2K QHD video quality. Creative professionals are fully supported to craft exceptional detail in stunning color with 100% sRGB and Rec. 709 accuracy; Technicolor Color Certification; and specialized modes to optimize the display for post-processing, CAD/CAM or animation.
For graphic design creatives, the Technicolor Color-Certified 32” 4K UHD BenQ PD3200U monitor with workflow-efficient features will be on display. This creative canvas features 10-bit color depth color, 100% sRGB and Rec. 709, giving designers a wide, one-billion-color-accurate palette to meet their artistic requirements. The panel expands the working space and offers a wider viewing angle (178 degrees in both horizontal and vertical planes) with crystal-clear clarity at all angles. Three premium display modes are tailor-made for designers to easily configure settings to best fit their preferences, including a Dark Room Mode for dimmed environments, a CAD/CAM Mode for superior image contrast and an Animation Mode, providing 10 levels of display brightness to enhance details in dark shadows.
BenQ will showcase its new 27” SW271 4K UHD high dynamic range (HDR) photography monitor. Engineered for Adobe RGB color management accuracy and HDR visualization, the SW271 ensures extraordinary clarity of fine details and textures for an optimal viewing and visual-intensive work experience. Outdoor and nature photography will never look more true to life thanks to the greater range of color reproduction for shades of blue and green, and HDR capability that allows the image to appear closer to what people see in the natural world. Complemented by 10-bit color depth, creative professionals can enjoy the smoothest color gradations with more than one billion colors. A USB-C port quickly transmits video and data, including 4K content, with only one convenient cable and performs hardware calibration with ease.
Finally, BenQ will highlight the SW320 creative display designed for photographers. Spanning a wide color gamut covering 99% of Adobe RGB and 100% of sRGB, Rec. 709 and the digital cinema industry's DCI-P3 color spaces, the SW320's true 10-bit IPS panel and advanced 14-bit lookup table (LUT) deliver spectacular color quality with precise ≤ 2 Delta E values. It is Technicolor Color Certified to meet the strict standards for color accuracy used in Hollywood and throughout the media and entertainment industries, with consistent, precise color exactly as content originators intended. HDR increases the overall dynamic range between black and white, so the resulting image appears closer to real life. Palette Master Element Color Calibration allows users to adjust the monitor's image processing chip without changing the graphic card output data and ensures the monitor's presets are automatically applied without any adjustments required from session to session. Its comprehensive connectivity includes a media card reader, USB 3.0 ports, HDMI 2.0a and DisplayPort/mini DisplayPort 1.4 supporting Mac® Thunderbolt output.
All BenQ Designer Monitors come equipped with BenQ's exclusive Eye-Care technology, which increases visual comfort while performing common computer tasks. This includes Low Blue Light to filter out harmful blue light, ZeroFlicker™ technology to eliminate flickering at all brightness levels and Brightness Intelligence technology, which uses an ambient sensor to sense the amount of ambient light in the viewing environment and automatically adjust the screen brightness to match the surroundings without sacrificing the image quality of content.
