Can I use an external power supply for the Android TV dongle instead of the USB port on the side of projector?

Yes, you can use an external 5V/1A power supply for the Android TV dongle, but we recommend against doing so as it's not necessary. Also, if you opt for a standalone power supply, you won't be able to use the Android TV dongle's remote to control the projector.
