Dragon’s Dogma II, A sequel to the 2012 game, is a narrative-driven action RPG published by Capcom for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. It is an open-world adventure with a fully customizable character known as the “Arisen,” who has been marked to defeat a dragon and fulfill a great destiny. The Dragon’s Voice

Your story begins with a detailed character creation menu where you build the Arisen and your Main Pawn. Every aspect of the characters’ looks is up to you, including their voice, and they will develop their vocational skills as the journey progresses. Be sure to read each vocation description to select one that works best with your preferred fighting style and practice these skills with a vocation master along the way. With a multitude of large and small details to choose from while creating your character, having a larger projected image makes it easier to create your vision. With the ability to project an image up to 150in, crisp details, and vibrant colors, the X3100i is perfect for character creation and epic gameplay.

The challenges of the game are intended to challenge your creativity, with unique enemies and tough terrains at every turn. Mastering a variety of weapons and trying out new skills will help your ability to defeat the foes that cross your path. Many hidden treasures are guarded by tougher enemies that move quickly or attack from above, like the image to the right, and having a large enough screen to defend and attack will aid you in battles. A monitor or TV screen have set sizes, limiting your ability to adjust your view, but with a gaming projector, you’ll have the flexibility to project an image at a size that benefits your gaming the most. With lens shift, auto-focus, zoom, and keystone functions, the X3100i is designed to create the gaming experience you’re looking for.

As with every open-world game, there are a variety of quests available from travelers, merchants, soldiers, and people that offer opportunities to strengthen your skills and build onto the story of the world. Navigating quests, skills, equipment, and more means gaining familiarity with the menu and map. The image to the left is the pause menu which guides you to everything accessible within the game. It has the main navigation options on the left and maintains a rustic design in every tab, enhancing the immersion for the time period it’s based in. Every detail, from the trees to the pathways to the location names, are easy to see thanks to BenQ’s CinematicColor technology found on the X-Series gaming projectors.

To enhance the gaming experience, Capcom utilized the RE Engine to create the game with the latest graphics and realistic physics within the boundaries of the world itself. When you pair these stunning graphics with the 4K visual quality from the X3100i, you’ll take your gaming experience to a whole new level.

A Forgotten Destiny

Though the Arisen is unsure of the journey that lies ahead, there is the opportunity for a great adventure in the unknown. As you strive towards fulfilling your destiny, you’ll be joined by Pawns who are companions devoted to serving you. Your Main Pawn was created at the start, but you can enter a covenant with up to 2 additional pawns sourced from the network. These pawns are created by other players and can greatly benefit your journey with their skill sets. Accessing other pawns is done through a Riftstone, pictured right. The passage of time is an important aspect of the game, as days shift into night and the landscape becomes difficult to see without a light source. There are some ways to speed up this passage of time, such as finding a campsite to rest in or an oxcart to skip ahead to towns, checkpoints, and villages. These locations serve as crucial plot points and opportunities for you to recover your strength and resources. As you travel, you’ll notice some areas are faced with destruction from the dragon and rebuilding, or paths have been blocked by the damage. In these areas be prepared to battle enemies or search for items to clear the path, aided by the crisp visuals from a gaming projector.

With an expansive list of fantastical creatures to battle, you’ll need to be able to see every detail of their movements and anticipate their attacks. With meticulously enhanced contrast and true-to-life colors, every mythical creature will come alive in your space with heart-pounding realism from the X3100i.

As a false Arisen sits on the throne, you must fulfill your destiny and navigate the many conspiracies to seize the throne. You’ll make your way through stunningly detailed lands with distinct scenery where you’ll meet new friends and foes.
