BenQ’s AMS for BenQ Boards has earned CASA Tier 2 lab-tested and lab-verified validation, ensuring top-tier cloud data security for its integration with Google apps.

COSTA MESA, California, July 19, 2024 – BenQ, a global leader in display solutions, today announces that its Account Management System (AMS) for BenQ Boards has achieved Cloud Application Security Assessment (CASA) Tier 2 verification. This certification confirms that AMS meets CASA’s stringent end-to-end cloud data security standards to safeguard user information.

Earning CASA Tier 2 independently verifies that an app has passed rigorous, industry-standard security requirements to protect user data privacy by reducing the risk of data breaches. These security requirements include ensuring the app uses encryption of transferred and stored data, authentication to prevent unauthorized access, and that user data is stored in compliance with privacy laws and best practices.

CASA was established by the App Defense Alliance (ADA), a collaboration between Google, Microsoft, and Meta, to improve app security across the tech industry. CASA uses the trusted Application Security Verification Standard (ASVS) from the Open Worldwide Application Security Project (OWASP) that helps organizations secure their cloud applications. This standard provides developers with a comprehensive framework for testing technical security controls for cloud-based apps handling sensitive data to ensure consistent, reliable security validation. Google also recognizes developers who achieve CASA verification.

“BenQ is committed to providing end users with enhanced protection for their valuable information,” says Claire Huang, Director of BenQ’s Cloud Innovation Center and Display Solutions Department. “Achieving the rigorous CASA Tier 2 verification demonstrates this unwavering commitment.”

DEKRA, an independent testing and certification lab, member of the ADA, and CASA contributor, verified that BenQ AMS meets CASA’s rigorous standards. Although developers can self-test their application by following CASA guidelines and review, BenQ chose to go one step further and have AMS undergo comprehensive lab testing aligning with CASA requirements.
