Curipod, a student engagement tool leveraging AI, and BenQ, a leader in display technology, have partnered up to elevate classroom learning. This collaboration aims to provide the optimal classroom experience by combining BenQ's advanced display technology with Curipod's interactive tools, increasing student engagement, discussion, collaboration, and critical thinking, all while keeping teachers at the heart of the learning process.
BenQ boards are a critical part of Curipod’s product development both in Curipod HQ in Oslo, Norway and in classrooms across the US. Here’s how Frikk Fossan, CTO and Co-Founder of Curipod, leverages BenQ’s technology to develop.
Curipod's Use of BenQ Boards in Development
- QA and Debugging: BenQ is now officially part of the release and QA process of all new Curipod features. The BenQ Board is the latest addition to our testing process which also includes iPads, Chromebooks, Mac and PC computers. When we are testing improvements and troubleshooting, we serve Curipod using a local IP address and then connect the BenQ Board on the same Wi-Fi. The BenQ Board will then be able to get the latest Curipod code and run in its own browser. This allows us to test fast. Additionally, we use a remote logging setup so we can capture any logs the BenQ Board does from the browser onto our development machines. This allows us to test rapidly and release new improvements to everyone using Curipod on BenQ Boards with ease.
- Daily Stand ups: Every morning, our team gathers around a BenQ Board for our standup meetings. Using the board to present Curipod’s progress, we create a collaborative environment where everyone can contribute, whether they’re in the office or dialing in remotely. This setup, complete with a webcam and high-quality microphone, ensures clear communication and helps us stay aligned and efficient.
- Weekly Insights Sharing: On Fridays, we use the BenQ Board to review our weekly achievements and insights. This practice helps us reflect on our progress, celebrate our wins, and plan next steps. It’s a key part of our culture of continuous learning and improvement, allowing us to refine our tools and better meet the needs of educators and students.
- Virtual Office Collaboration: The BenQ Board is always ready for video calls, allowing any team member to join discussions from anywhere. This flexibility promotes spontaneous collaboration and keeps our team connected, no matter where they are.
Our goal for partnering with BenQ is to transform classroom engagement.
