ANSI lumens are the standard unit of measure to quantify a projector's brightness. This unit of measurement, developed by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI), is widely accepted in the market due to its precise methodology, making it the most objective measure of brightness recognized by the industry.

Distance & Positioning
What is Throw Ratio?

Throw ratio is the width (W) of the image in relation to the throw distance (D). Throw distance is the specific distance from the lens of the projector to the screen surface/wall. As you increase the distance between the projector lens and the screen the image will also increase.

Light Source
LED vs Laser

LED and Laser light sources have a longer life span (up to 30000 hrs). Lasers can achieve higher brightness while LEDs can provide better color. However, the brightness and color performance of each projector are still determined by the optical platform design, which includes the DMD chip and lens.

What are Rec. 709 &
DCI-P3?

The Rec.709 color space uses specific red, green, and blue colors and illuminant D65 (6500k) for the white point to build a standardized color space and reproduce accurate color gamut and grayscale. DCI-P3 is a common RGB color space for digital movie projection in the American film industry.

Image Quality

What is refresh rate & resolution?

Refresh rate is the number of times per second that a raster-based display device displays a new image. Resolution is the level of detail of the image itself.
The higher the refresh rate or frame rate, the smoother and more responsive games feel. High refresh rates contribute to lower total input lag, or faster input response.
