The Auto Channel Selection technology of InstaShow improves upon the capabilities of its predecessor to ensure speedier and more stable wireless transmissions.
In other wireless presentation systems, the channel selection functioned solely by checking which wireless channel had the least amount of wireless access points (WAP) occupying it and then automatically switching over to that channel. Unfortunately, by focusing only on the number of access points sharing each channel this methodology overlooked the actual amount of traffic that occurred on the channels, which could still result in poor Wi-Fi performance.
To improve upon this aspect of the auto channel selection feature, the latest InstaShow model utilizes the Clear Channel Assessment (CCA) protocol along with energy detection technology to not only scan for the least occupied channels nearby, but also detect which channel features the lowest amount of traffic taking place at the time. This additional step allows the InstaShow host to select the channel with the best Wi-Fi performance and the smallest chance of network interference.
