BenQ projectors are designed from the bottom-up to ensure complete design harmony. Every aspect from casing structure to driver and speaker design to component placement, is meticulously considered to ensure the ultimate audio quality.
Material selection greatly impacts audio quality. BenQ has gone to great lengths to select materials for each component of the speaker, aiming to enhance its natural timbre no matter the usage scenario.
Sound travels, even when it’s not supposed to. To guide how sound travels within the cabinet for optimal sound reproduction, the construction of driver and speaker components and their placement are meticulously calculated and designed to simulate the properties of tones adapted to various scenarios.
Creating heart-stomping sound around is bound to cause a few good vibrations. To eliminate the bad ones, a dedicated internal suspension structure supports and isolates to provide wobble and distortion-free image and audio.
To help cleanly transmit sound outwards, a custom designed faceplate utilizing arrays of patterned perforations ensures there is little sonic obstruction or alteration of the produced audio.
Recreating convincing and realistic sound requires more than just accurate driver and speaker components. BenQ designs and fine-tunes audio performance through its extensive understanding of psychoacoustics, crafting custom sound modes for relevant scenarios and an optimal audio experience.
The space within a projector’s housing is very limited. Squeezing every bit of acoustic performance out requires getting the challenging balance right between speaker placement, chamber size, interference cancellation, vibration elimination etc., where each factor affects every other factor like a series of dominos.
The design process really begins at the end. Every design is put through its paces and subjected a wide range of tests including sweep tests, durability tests, and incoming raw materials control test. Every stage is singularly focused on ironing out any issues, sending this information back to further improve the design overall.
