1. Filter cleaning and replacement

LCD projectors require regular filter cleaning and filter replacement after certain hours of service. On the other hand, DLP projectors contain enclosed light processing design instead of the filter device and therefore save on the maintenance cost of filter replacement as well as avoid any potential risks caused by filter cleaning and replacement.

2. Is it necessary to change the panel or chip?

BenQ projectors introduce DLP optical image technology developed by TI; its DMD (digital micromirror device) chip life lasts up to 100,000 hours. When the brightness fades out after long-term use, users only need to replace the lamp to get the same projecting effect just like a new one.

3. Lamp replacement

BenQ projector lineup, including home/commercial projectors, introduces the SmartEco technology to achieve a smarter operation of the projector lamp. Based on the change of ambient environment and projecting content, the projector automatically switches to the lamp use mode to ensure the best image performance under the most energy saving mode. The projector automatically adjusts the energy consumed by the lamp according to the content change and signal source switching to ensure images with the best contrast effect under the most energy saving mode, saving lamp energy up to 70%.
