How do I mute the projector?
The projector can be muted using one of the following settings -
1. OSD > System setup > audio settings > mute
2.. Mute key on remote
The mute function will reset to default (Off) when the projector is restarted, which means audio will be on.
Therefore, if you wish to mute the projector permanently, please turn the audio volume down to 0. Volume levels do not reset for power cycles or restarts.

This function is only working with Windows PC/Laptop which is designed with and has PgUP and PgDn keys. HDMI (designed with MHL function) and USB Mini-B connection are required from the projector to your Windows PC/Laptop.

What's up with the flickering seen in videos recorded of the projector?
All DLP projectors are color sequential displays, as long as a camera’s shooting frequency is higher than the color-switching frequency, flickering in the recorded image is unavoidable. But it’s worth noting that high-speed cameras are mainly used to analyze the golfer’s movement, not the projector or its images. Despite that fact, we are currently working on finding new technologies to sync the frequency.

Can we project a fully filled-up image from an iPad/iPad Pro?
No, though the aspect ratio of the iPad is close to 4:3, the timing of the projector does not support the iPad’s aspect ratio. You can only currently project a 4:3 image in the middle, and cannot fully fill up the screen.

For BenQ projectors designed for general home entertainment and business use, we recommend powering off the projector for 2-3 minutes after every 12 hours of constant use for longer lasting reliability and maximized projector lifespan.
BenQ professional projectors designed with corresponding industrial standards can be used continuously for more than 12 hours and do not require a power cycling process as our home and general-use business projectors do.

My remote control is not working. What can be done to fix it?
Please follow below steps for troubleshooting:
(1) Check if the remote receiver is turned off by accident in OSD. It should be turned to Front/Top/Front+Top.
(2) Check if the batteries are out of power. Replace both of the batteries with new ones.
(3) Make sure you are not too far away from the projector. Stand within 7 meters from the projector.
(4) Remove the obstacles between the remote control and projector.

Can I change the LED light source on my projector by myself?
The LED light source can last around 20,000 to 30,000 hours and does not need to be changed during the lifetime of the projector normally. If needed, LED replacement is not user-serviceable. You need to bring the projector to a BenQ service center.

3D is not working or getting lost sync on my projector. How can I fix it?
Please check the following settings to correct this issue.
1. If the source gives the correct 3D information to the projector, the projector will switch to 3D automatically.
If your source is from PC or steaming content, please select the correct 3D format via OSD Display > 3D > 3D mode.
2. Check the user manual and make sure that the resolution of your content supports 3D.
3. Press the DLP Link button on your 3D glasses to resync the projector and 3D glasses.
4. Please try to change the HDMI EDID setting to Standard.
5. Make sure that no other Projectors are sending DLP Link signals in the same room.
6. Watching in a relatively dark environment to avoid being influenced by other light sources.
7. Check the battery level on your DLP 3D Glasses
8. Adjust the watching distance and screen size within a normal range(Specs)
9. Stay in a fixed position, and try not to move too far/quickly on your head/3D glasses.
10. Try to adjust a colorful setting on the projector and avoid external light direct to your 3D glasses/screen.
11. If it's still not working, the issue might be caused by Hardware margin. You can switch to another projector or 3D glasses for a try.
