ClassroomCare® technologies protect student health while interactive features facilitate engaging in-person classes and hybrid learning setups
COSTA MESA, California, February 21, 2022 – BenQ Corporation, global innovator of digital display solutions, today announced the release of the all-new BenQ Board Master RM03 Series—a suite of smart interactive displays designed for education. Packed with intuitive teaching tools and features, the BenQ Board Master enhances the overall classroom experience in distance, hybrid, and in-person learning environments. More importantly, all RM03 displays come equipped with ClassroomCare® technologies that are designed to protect the health of both students and teachers.
“As a leading industry innovator, BenQ offers large-format interactive displays with tried-and-tested germ-resistant and eye care technologies,” says Conway Lee, President of BenQ Corporation. “With schools reopening around the world, maintaining a healthy learning environment has become a top priority. Through our interactive displays like the RM03, we are able to support schools in this endeavor.”
Healthier learning spaces with ClassroomCare technologies
The RM03 series is fitted with BenQ’s TÜV and SIAA-certified germ-resistant screens, which help prevent the transmission of harmful pathogens. Using nano-ionic silver—an agent recognized by the medical community for its ability to stop the spread of bacteria and other germs—the display’s germ-resistant screens have tested 99.9% effective against common disease-causing pathogens, such as Staphylococcus aureus and E. coli bacteria. The RM03 also comes with germ-resistant pens that further reduce the chances of touch transmission in class.
With the addition of eye care solutions—an anti-glare touchscreen and TÜV-certified flicker-free and low blue light technologies—the 4K UHD display helps ensure that students are protected against eye strain and other eye-related issues.
Intuitive tools for active in-person and hybrid learning setups
RM03 displays offer a comprehensive set of educational tools that teachers can take advantage of for more engaging lessons. The built-in EZWrite 6 is more than a typical digital whiteboard. On top of its wide variety of annotation and drawing options, adjustable workspace, templates, and activity toolbox, EZWrite 6 also allows cross-platform lesson creation and live student collaboration.
Teachers can create lesson content from their own device and then easily load it on the board by either transferring files from a USB device or loading them from cloud accounts. Students can then join the whiteboarding session from their own devices, allowing them to participate in real time without having to leave their seats.
Through InstaShare 2, students and teachers can enjoy wireless screen sharing on the RM03. This makes it convenient for anyone to present reports and share content from their own laptops, tablets, or smartphones.
The RM03 also has the Duo Windows feature, which allows teachers to split the screen in half, granting them the ability to open two applications at once. They can, for example, load a reference document on one window while annotating on EZWrite 6 on the other side.
The display has multiple ports for easy connectivity, including a front USB-C slot, which teachers can use to attach their laptop or webcam, turning the RM03 into an effective hybrid learning tool. The display’s built-in 6-microphone array and two 16W stereo speakers ensure clear audio recording and transmission. With the addition of an OPS slot-in PC, schools can install and use their prescribed video conferencing solutions such as Zoom, Google Meet, or Microsoft Teams.
Easy management and other helpful tools and features
Part of the BenQ display ecosystem, RM03 interactive displays gives schools access to the BenQ Account Management System (AMS), Device Management Solution (DMS), and X-Sign Broadcast platforms.
AMS allows educators to link their cloud storage accounts—whether it’s Google Drive, OneDrive, or Dropbox—and access their lesson files directly from the RM03. DMS, on the other hand, gives IT staff the freedom to centrally and remotely manage their RM03 displays from one cloud-based console.
School administrators can take advantage of the X-Sign Broadcast platform to push real-time or scheduled announcements for events, reminders, and emergency updates directly on their interactive displays.
The RM03 is available in 65, 75, and 86-inch sizes. It has a dust resistance rating of IP5X, effectively preventing dust accumulation in the screen. For accessibility, it also has a built-in voice assistant, which helps teachers give hands-free instructions during class.
