The BenQ PD series professional monitors have been instrumental in our company's compositing process. They offer high clarity for creating and quality-checking shots, and they provide numerous color modes that can be adjusted to the most suitable settings depending on different scenarios, making them very eye-friendly for capturing colors.

What was the original intention behind engaging in design? Do you have any stories you'd like to share?

I think it's about passion. From seeing my first fully CG image on a computer screen at a friend's company in Beijing in 1992, to watching the movie "Jurassic Park" in 1993, to studying computer animation and visual effects in the United States in 1994, and then working at a visual effects company in the US. In 2001, I returned to Beijing to establish my own visual effects studio, and in 2007, I joined a joint venture between Technicolor and Visual Impact Digital Technology Co.,Ltd. Over the past nearly 30 years, this passion for creative work has been both my original intention and my driving force.

How has working in visual effects production changed your life?

There haven't been any significant changes to speak of. People's lives always evolve, but having something you love to do consistently is something to be grateful for.

How would you define "good creation"?

A “good creation" can be defined in various ways, and I don't want to overgeneralize. Film and television creation differs from traditional art forms like painting, music, and literature; it's more akin to a product requiring collaboration among many people. Under the conditions of a strong concept and script, leveraging the strengths of each department through collective effort leads to "good creation". Additionally, "good creation" is never too easy.

Do you remember your first piece of work? Is there any interesting story you'd like to share?

It wouldn't be accurate to say it's my own work; I would describe it as a project I participated in. The TV series "Dream of the Red Chamber" directed by Li, Shao-Hong was the first drama I independently participated in. It took 16 months for filming and another 8 months for post-production, making it the longest project I've been involved in throughout my career. I gained a lot from this experience.

For anyone interested or curious about pursuing visual effects production, what experiences or advice can you share?

I hope everyone can create visual effects with emotion, attitude, and attention to detail. Let me explain:
Emotion = Passion for film production, television creation, and the visual effects industry.
Attitude = Seriousness towards the specific production and participation process.
Detail = Mastery of work details determines everything about whether a work is good or bad.
