When sharing photography techniques, what elements or themes inspire you?

I was always inspired by SF of Fantasy teams. I love to create some magic or light effects on my photos a lot.

What does your typical day look like? Do you have a regular workflow?

My typical day is changing all the time. Sometimes I start my work early in the morning, sometimes in the afternoon. Depends on a mood and inspiration. I need to have a dose of inspiration in order to create an artwork. There are days when I don’t work at all in my studio because of a creative block or I’m overwhelmed with other things.

In order to create any artwork, I need to get an idea first. When the idea of the final artwork is shaped in my head (sometimes on a piece of paper as a rough sketch), I start to gather all the elements (photos, 3D elements…) for the artwork. Sometimes that takes few hours, sometimes few days (or weeks if I need to model some complex 3D scene). Then, it’s a fun time. Jumping into Photoshop and putting everything together for the final result. Simple as that :D

Have you ever had any creative bottlenecks?

Oh, yes… many times, like any other creator.

Do you have any advice for someone learning design? What would you like to say to those aspiring to become designers?

Just one. Do something that you love, and do it because you love it and try to be the best in that field, instead of doing something that you think will make you some “big” money and burnout in the process. Art is not a sprint, but more like a marathon.

Do you remember your first work? Do you have any interesting stories you want to share?

My first photo manipulation that I did was with my father. I took a photo of him standing in the living room, then scan few photos from my mom’s magazine and made a collage in Photoshop. It was a photo of my father standing near a camp fire with a riffle in his hand. The photo manipulation was really bad, but I was so thrilled that that I fall in love in photo manipulation instantly. The idea that you can make anything that you can imagine, combining few photos together open a door to my creative journey that I’m still on.
