I would be glad to share my first successful photography work. It was taken when I first started learning about photography, using a Seagull 120 twin-lens reflex camera. I chose to capture a close-up portrait of an elderly person with a weathered face because I was drawn to the signs of aging on her skin. I hoped to convey the hardships and challenges of her life through photography.
Looking back over the years, I have undergone many changes in my approach to photography. Initially, I focused solely on photography skills, but now I place more emphasis on integrating post-processing with my photographic philosophy. I have learned to employ various techniques to create artworks that possess more artistic value and uniqueness. In terms of post-processing, I focus on combining my creativity and emotions. My photographic philosophy has also shifted from pursuing artistry to expressing inner emotions and stories.
Post-processing plays a crucial role in my work. It not only helps correct minor flaws in photos but also highlights the theme and emotion of a good work while maintaining authenticity. By adjusting factors such as color, contrast, and brightness, I can better convey the mood and feelings I wish to express. Additionally, post-processing is an important step for showcasing my personal style and creativity.
Color is one of the most intuitive and emotionally resonant elements in a photograph. By mastering color theory and utilizing color adjustment tools, you can precisely convey your emotions and meanings related to the scene and subject. Employing color combinations and contrasts allows us to create visual impact and emotional resonance, making the photograph more attractive and distinctive in style. Additionally, by using monitors with excellent color control, you can effectively apply artistic theory in practice to produce outstanding works that resonate with the audience.
Firstly, a professional monitor that accurately reproduces colors is essential, and BenQ photography monitors are the best choice for me and many professional photographers. Secondly, continuous learning and exploration of color theory to understand the expression and combination of different colors is important. Thirdly, it is crucial to have a clear color concept and plan before shooting, so that your creativity can be better realized in post-processing. Also, mastering the use of post-processing software and tools, trying different adjustment methods and effects, and finding a color presentation style that suits your own style are key.
Lastly, I would like to take this opportunity to send best wishes to all photography enthusiasts. May you continue to progress on the path of photography and create inspiring works.
