The BenQ SW272U monitor is an essential tool for my photographic work, offering exceptional color accuracy. Its consistent brightness from edge to edge and anti-glare matte screen ensure superior quality in all my photographs.

Why do you enjoy taking portraits?

I believe that each person has a unique story, and capturing those moments in a photograph allows me to immortalize them. I enjoy capturing people's expressions and features.

When capturing portraits, what details or features do you pay attention to, to infuse the photo with personality or narrative?

I like to focus on facial expression, posture, and the subject's interaction with their surroundings, but above all, I like to focus on the eyes, as they reflect the essence of the person. The environment and the model's posture tell a story, but the gaze reveals the true self of the individual.

What do you think is the most important element in portrait photography? Is it the light, composition, or something else?

Light is a crucial element in portrait photography as it can enhance features, create interesting shadows, and set the overall tone of the image. It plays a fundamental role in highlighting beauty and emotion. Composition is also essential in balancing the scene and directing the attention to the subject; all this on the technical side. However, I believe that interacting with the person being photographed is what is most important, being able to guide them to convey the intended emotion or essence.

How do you typically interact with your subjects on the shooting set?

I always aim to create a relaxed and comfortable environment for my subjects to feel natural and authentic. In fact, I often engage in humor to help ease any tension. I am direct in communicating my vision, share ideas, and remain attentive to their suggestions. This collaboration helps produce more genuine and expressive portraits.

Do you have any advice for someone learning photography/design? What would you like to say to those aspiring to become photographers or video creators/designers?

For those learning photography or design, my advice would be to practice consistently and experiment with different styles and techniques. Understand light and learn proper exposure, as this is the technical foundation. Learning from the work of other artists is also valuable. Additionally, do not underestimate the importance of patience and perseverance on the path to improvement. For those aspiring to become photographers or video creators/designers, I would say find your unique voice, explore your creativity, and never stop learning and evolving in expressing what you want to convey.
