Knowledge CenterRegarding the audible sound when the dynamic Iris function is activated, it's a result caused by the internal motor operation that opens or closes dynamically to determine how much light passes through to optical system to enhance the effect of contrast ratio. When the projector powers on, the Dynamic Iris will be calibrated for 3-15 seconds and the sound of the motor operation during this period of time will then be heard and observed. We understand that some users may be sensitive to the audible sound with the Dynamic Iris being switched on; thus, we suggest you to download our new firmware, which can be self-upgraded through the USB type A port to further reduce the sound. (new firmware offers 3-level adjustment for the Dynamic Iris to reduce the sound caused by the Dynamic Iris when it's switched on, but it also sacrifices contrast performance if users select low level effect. To download the new firmware, please visit our website. If you have any questions or problems installing the new firmware upgrade, please contact our local service center and we will be more than happy to assist you. Thank you.
