Most of BenQ's monitors that support flicker-free technology use DC-driven backlight, and for some SW models that do not support the flicker-free technology, they use PWM-driven backlight instead. The reason to use PWM is that different LED technology may require different ways to drive the backlight to achieve accurate color performance. For models that do not use flicker-free panels, they will need PWM to drive the backlight to achieve that goal.
