Improve your reading and writing with BenQ’s Black CD Tray

12-19-2003

EUROPE, 19 December, 2003 – BenQ continues to look at ways to enhance the enjoyment of its products for users. As one of the leading manufacturers of optical storage products, BenQ is now pleased to announce production of the Black CD Tray, improving the reading and writing of BenQ optical storage device.

In Optical Storage device such as CD ROM, DVD ROM, CDRW, DVD RW, the reading and writing are performed via signals generated by a laser. For a disk to be read or written, the laser is required to perform as accurately as possible - anything that detracts from this will distort the performance and quality of a disk. When light from the laser hits the disk, it can be reflected, transmitted or absorbed.  As one of the major components of a drive, the tray - so often manufactured in white or grey - becomes a critical part of the device performance. Its ability to absorb reflected, disordered light is crucial to the reading and writing and white or grey CD trays are less competent in this area.

BenQ’s Black CD Tray absorbs 90% of any disordered light reflected by the laser, securing the accuracy of the laser signal and enhancing the reading, writing and enjoyment of data.

BenQ Black CD Tray will be available in the full-range of BenQ Optical Storage products: CDROM 652A/656A, DVDROM 1650S, CDRW 5224W/5232P, Ext. CDRW 4824WU/5224WU, DVD+RW DW400A/DW800A, Ext. DVD+RW DW400AU and all future new models. For more details about the BenQ Black Tray, please visit our Q-Campus in our Knowledge Base at BenQ-eu.com.
