|
| 2003-06-01 |
BenQ announces the release of the M32 tri-band GSM/GPRS wireless module. The M32, which is the world's thinnest GPRS module, is suitable for a wide array of wireless applications based on cellular telecommunications technology.
With dimensions of only 36.8 x 35.2 x 2.85mm and weighing merely 7g, the M32 module reduces time-to-market as well as condenses hardware sizes thereby cutting component costs. Because of its small size and energy effectiveness, it easily integrates into PDA, notebook, vending machines, vehicle communication system, ATM, wireless public phone, traffic control, remote monitoring, security system and fleet management applications. The M32 is fully typed approved (FTA) according to R&TTE, GCF and China TA.
The M32 module is easy to install and features various configurations for flexibility and reliability. It supports GSM data, voice, fax and SMS as well as both 1.8V and 3V SIM standards. Additional benefits of the M32 include: number identification, call forwarding, call completion, multi party, charging and call barring. The M32 module is currently implemented in these applications: Abcom (PCMCIA card), Billionton (CF card), C-NET (PCMCIA card), Racewood(CF & PCMCIA cards), TelePaq (Smartphone)
